Serenity By The Sea: Neutral Toned Maternity Session set at Deerfield Beach, Florida

This soft, neutral-toned maternity shoot was perfect for Vanessa who chose to reveal the gender of her new baby through the softly curated color palette of her wardrobe.

The elegant, waterside shoot which was photographed by Reem and styled and planned by this chic mommy showcased her vision for her new daughter. Vanessa’s hope is, “That she will be brave, confident, virtuous and ambitious and that she knows we will be here to guide her in the right direction while supporting her goals and dreams.”

Is this your first child or do you have other children?

I have two boys this will be our first girl.

How has your pregnancy been?

Pregnancy has been good overall, the first few months I was really busy so that time flew by. Covid-19 has allowed me to really enjoy this time and focus on me and the baby.

All mommy’s-to-be experience those crazy cravings! What’s been your guilty pleasure?

I really haven’t had any cravings this time around and can pretty much eat anything.

What was the inspiration for your maternity shoot? Did you have a theme, if so please describe?

I have never done a maternity shoot of my own before and because of the pandemic, I knew we wouldn’t have a full baby shower so I wanted to capture this moment through photo and video on a beach. The shoot was how we revealed the gender of the baby so I knew I wanted a soft pink dress and another look that was more neutral.

What aspect of motherhood are you looking forward to the most?

I’m looking forward to having a little “mini me” I’ve always up until now been a boy mom so I’m looking forward to raising my daughter and seeing the interaction between her and her brothers. I’m also looking forward to seeing my husband get to experience that “daddy girl” relationship that I’m sure they’ll have like my dad and I have.

What is your advice for expecting mothers?

To do what works best and feels right for you and your family!
