One of our favorite people in the world and friend in our heads Elaine Welteroth, has been basking in her new mama to be baby bump joy and showing off her freshly, styled crown with honey blonde highlighted braids.
The bestselling author and Project Runway host who revealed her pregnancy with husband Jonathan Singletary in October joked in a post, “New hair who dis” and “She got braids. That’s it. That’s the post”.
The fashionable editor and Masterclass instructor is one of many stars that are rocking the jumbo box braid and knotless braid look in 2022.
The knotless protective hairstyle is achieved using the more natural-looking feed-in hair technique in which small amounts of extension hair are gradually added to your hair during the braiding process. The technique which has been around since 2014 was explained in detail by Tiffani Renae on her Youtube channel which to this date has racked up over 21 million views. The stylist explained, “In order for the roots to not be too bulky, make sure you don’t add too much hair but just enough, start out with braiding the client’s hair down once or twice before you begin to braid the hair.”
