Repost from @kathlynceleste • I wish I heard about nesting parties sooner🥹 it’s a MUST! have you heard of them & would you have one or host one for a friend? Whether you’re a first time mom or have multiples, what you need most is a great support system…your village. Whether it’s siblings, friends, or parents.. any extra help is a blessing. And the only way I made it through 3 postpartum seasons so far. A Nesting Party is such a great way for your community to love on & celebrate you through acts of service so you can enter parenthood with peace & a prepared home💖 here’s some of the things they can do: ✨wash/sanitize bottles & pump parts ✨wash, fold & organize baby clothes ✨Organize nursery ✨prep postpartum cart ✨make simple freezer meals ✨prep your hospital bag or home birth needs ✨build cribs, baby swings, furniture ✨organize postpartum needs for you ✨or whatever else you need to prep for baby! It doesn’t have to be a big “party” either! I was having intense contractions all week so I didn’t have time to plan anything spectacular but the party planner in me wanted to have cute decor, charcuterie boards & a buffet table full of food lol. But this was perfect🥲 just having the extra help & getting to spend some time with them & knowing baby could come at anytime and we’re “ready” was all I needed.🫶🏽 We didn’t have a baby shower this time but I think a nesting party would be perfect after a baby shower so you can have help organizing & putting away everything. Sooo, what do you think?! Did I convince you?👀 lol, I can not WAIT for the next baby to come into the friend/family group so I can go all out & plan a nesting party for them! I think it’s such a beautiful way to show your love to the mama-to-be🥲💖 Tag your friends if you’re loving this idea!🫶🏽 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10-11 #nestingparty #momoffour #munamommy

A Nesting Party is such a great way for your community to love on & celebrate you through acts of service so you can enter parenthood with peace & a prepared home💖 here’s some of the things they can do: ✨wash/sanitize bottles & pump parts ✨wash, fold & organize baby clothes ✨Organize nursery ✨prep postpartum cart ✨make simple freezer meals ✨prep your hospital bag or home birth needs ✨build cribs, baby swings, furniture ✨organize postpartum needs for you ✨or whatever else you need to prep for baby! It doesn’t have to be a big “party” either! I was having intense contractions all week so I didn’t have time to plan anything spectacular but the party planner in me wanted to have cute decor, charcuterie boards & a buffet table full of food lol. But this was perfect🥲 just having the extra help & getting to spend some time with them & knowing baby could come at anytime and we’re “ready” was all I needed.🫶🏽 We didn’t have a baby shower this time but I think a nesting party would be perfect after a baby shower so you can have help organizing & putting away everything.
